Sunday, March 5th, you will be able to enjoy on the stage of the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet Maria Biesu the opera in three acts "Madame Butterfly" by G. Puccini.

Special guests as Kseniya BAKHRITDINOVA (Ukraine) in the role of Madama Butterfly and ROMAN COREN (Ukraine) in the role of Pinkerton will perform on the stage.

Together with them you will be able to listen to the excellent interpretation of the soloists of the National Opera as: Vladimir Dragos People's Artist, Nadia Stoianova Ruslan Pacatovici, Vladimir Zaklikovski People's Artist, Alexei Digore, Vitalie Cireș, Anastasia Cuşnir. The conductor will be Dumitru Cârciumaru.

The story of the opera "Madama Butterfly" by G. Puccini takes place in the Land of the Rising Sun, there where Cio-Cio-San, a beautiful Japanese falls in love with the American Lieutenant Pinkerton. Because of her love for Pinkerton, she gets repudiated by her family… And this is just the beginning of her sufferings.
